Adipose Stromal Cells

Adipose Stromal Cell cultures were prepared from the products of tumescent liposuction from men and women from ages 22-61 years. Each cell line has been shown to differentiate into fat containing cells when placed in differentiation medium. For each cell line, the lifespan after recovery from storage has been determined (11 to 25 population doublings). In addition, each cell line has been karyotyped. The samples were collected from a population of donors who elected to have liposuction. The individuals were apparently healthy, although no medical history was collected.
