Characterizations

Sample Description IMR-90 - SV40 VIRUS-TRANSFORMED FETAL LUNG FIBROBLAST

IDENTIFICATION OF SPECIES OF ORIGIN Species of Origin Confirmed by Nucleoside Phosphorylase, Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase, and Lactate Dehydrogenase Isoenzyme Electrophoresis DNA fingerprinting and HLA DQ-alpha typing showed that this post-crisis SV40 transformed fibroblast culture had the same pattern and genotype as IMR90, the untransformed fibroblast.

HLA TYPING Analysis of HLA DQ-alpha using the AmpliType forensic DNA amplification and typing kit showed the HLA DQ-alpha genotype for this virustransformed human cell line to be 3,3.
